Rainbow Swiss chard is distinguished by its bouquet of wrinkled, slightly savoyed rich green leaves and bright coloured stems.

Its subtle earthy flavor along with slight notes of tang make it a versatile ingredient in the kitchen.  Complimentary ingredients include citrus, garlic, tomatoes, peppers, olive oil, beets, roasted meats and chicken, cheeses such as pecorino and parmesan and herbs such as basil.

Nutrition:  Swiss Chard is rich in omega-3 fatty acids, beta-carotene, vitamins C & K, and minerals such as iron, calcium, and magnesium.  It's incredibly important for bone health and to help prevent breakage, fractures, and osteoporosis. Swiss chard has powerful anti-inflammatory properties and also contains a large number of phytonutrient antioxidants which have been shown to protect the body from chronic illnesses.
