Radishes are a delicious crisp, peppery and juicy vegetable.  They are perfect for cleansing the palate and refreshing the body in the spring.  Radishes get hotter with the weather so in the Spring and Fall radishes are mild and cleansing whereas in summer radishes are strong and fiery hot.


Nutrition:  Radishes are antibacterial, anti-fungal, and diuretic. They are rich in vitamin C, folic acid, and anthocyanidins. Radishes have the ability to dissolve mucus and acids within the body and expel gallstones from the bladder as well as cleanse the kidneys. They are good to eat with starchy foods such as pasta, potatoes, and grains as they have enzymes that aid in the secretion of digestive juices.
